Campaign for legalization of single-game sports betting throughout Canada

Because of the rapid growth of online casino industry throughout the world, many countries are making changes in their legalization to create safe and sure iGaming environment in their regions.

A future parliamentarian is backing The Canadian Gaming Association for single-game sports betting legalization in the country

Sandra Pupatello, as the Liberal Party candidate for Windsor West parliament announced that she will support CGA (The Canadian Gaming Association). She declared she is going to start a campaign to make single-game sports betting legal in Canada. 

There was an official press release issued by The Canadian Gaming Association. It was in the form of a call for support of the initiative. The initiative for legalization will allow punters to place single game wagers on sports as diverse as professional ice hockey and baseball.  

According to Paul Burns, the President and Chief Executive Officer of CGA the sports betting has already become very popular in Canada. Punters in this country wager about $7.53 billion per year on sports betting. Paul Burns explained in the press release that the amount includes $3.01 billion in bets that have been placed with websites located abroad. It is only about $377.08 million of these bets are placed under legal licensed operators.

Provinces started requesting about changes in legislation nearly about ten years ago. According to Burns amendments related to single-game sports betting will benefit places like Windsor. Canadian players will be provided with legal and safe betting options.

According to the Canadian Gaming Association many new jobs will be created in the region, too. The opportunities for about 182,500 jobs with average salaries of $49,100 per year is completely real.

It is important to understand how a small amendment can lead to massive benefits for the gaming industry and the economy of Canada as a whole. Local punters will be allowed to bet on the outcome of the Stanley Cup, NBA Finals or even World Series and the economy of the country will increase as a result. According to Burns, it is great time to implement the change in the legislation for single-event sports wagering with the support of every party and the whole government.

Allowing single-game sports betting throughout Canada will touch every branch of the economy in the communities and the country. Every year various charitable, provincial, community and state good causes have been granted by the industry and The Canadian Gaming Association.
